Meet Our Senior Pastor 

    George A. Williams

Rev. George A. Williams, Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Church of West Mifflin, is married to Rev. Avis A. Williams.  They have three daughters and several grandchildren.  He is a native of Fort Motte, South Carolina.

Pastor Williams is a graduate of Denmark Regional Technical Center in Electronic Technology and a graduate of South Carolina State College with a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.  He worked in the electrical engineering field for 20 years as a Telecommunications Analyst for Westinghouse.

 

Pastor Williams is also a graduate of the Harty Bible School and the American Baptist Theological Seminary.  Prior to coming to First Baptist Church in 1989, Pastor Williams served faithfully as the pastor of the Morningstar Baptist Church in Weirton, WV (1984 to 1989).

As an active member of the Baptist Ministers Conference of Pittsburgh and Vicinity, the Allegheny Union Baptist Association (AUBA) and Pennsylvania Baptist State Convention, Pastor Williams works diligently and has served in various leadership roles.  Much of his work is focused in the areas of Evangelism and Christian Education.

Pastor Williams loves God, people, and the preaching of God’s Word.  His daily goal is to do the will of the One who has called him out of darkness into the marvelous light!
